UAE-Germany travel: New budget flights launch from Dubai and Abu Dhabi this winter
New Düsseldorf route offers bargain fares from under Dh600
DUBAI – Travellers looking to fly between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Germany now have more options than ever, as Eurowings – Germany’s largest leisure airline – expands its network for the 2025/26 winter season.
The carrier has announced a series of new and increased services linking Dubai and Abu Dhabi with major German cities, making European getaways or family visits more accessible and affordable.
Among the biggest additions is a new route between Dubai World Central (DWC) and Düsseldorf, which will launch on Saturday, 13 December 2025. Fares start at under Dh600 (€139.99) one way, positioning it as one of the most budget-friendly European connections from the UAE this winter.
New Düsseldorf route
The Düsseldorf–Dubai service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from DWC at 6.05pm GST. The return flights from Germany leave at 6.50am and 8.35am local time. Operated with the Airbus A320neo, the route connects travellers directly to the North Rhine-Westphalia capital – home to Germany’s famous Christmas markets, art galleries and Rhine promenade.
For the first time, Eurowings will connect its largest base in Düsseldorf with Dubai, joining existing services from Berlin, Cologne, Stuttgart and Hanover. With this expansion, the airline will offer a record 28 weekly flights between the UAE and Germany during the upcoming winter schedule.
More routes from Dubai
Eurowings is also ramping up capacity on its existing Dubai routes. Flights between Dubai and Berlin will increase to 11 per week, while services to Cologne will grow from three to four weekly departures. Travellers will also find three new weekly flights to Hanover and daily flights from Stuttgart, up from four previously.
The Berlin route will continue to operate from both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC), while flights to Cologne, Düsseldorf and Hanover will depart from DWC. The Stuttgart service will continue from DXB. Travellers are advised to check their departure airport carefully when booking, as Eurowings operates from both of Dubai’s main airports.
Abu Dhabi service
Adding to the excitement for UAE-based travellers, Eurowings has also introduced a direct Berlin-Abu Dhabi service, starting this winter. The new route provides residents of the capital with a convenient and affordable link to Germany’s vibrant capital city, known for its culture, cuisine and creativity.
This addition means travellers from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi now have direct access to multiple German destinations, making it easier to plan holidays, business trips or visits to family and friends.
Wider Middle East expansion
Eurowings’ new Dubai and Abu Dhabi services form part of a wider expansion into the Middle East. The airline will also launch Stuttgart–Amman flights from 27 October, operating twice weekly, alongside new connections from Cologne/Bonn and Nuremberg to Erbil, and Hanover and Salzburg to Beirut.
According to Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof, the airline’s Gulf routes have become some of its most popular. “Our well-developed connections to the Gulf region are by far the most successful routes in our winter flight schedule,” he said.
